Alice is a member of the firm's Corporate and Health Law Practice Groups and also practices in the area of employment law. She represents health care providers, particularly physicians, in negotiating new employment agreements and buy-ins to existing medical practices, in forming group practices and physician networks and in structuring contractual arrangements with third parties, including managed care companies. Alice also counsels closely-held businesses in transactional matters, such as business acquisitions, mergers and sales and commercial financing.

Alice also provides advice to employers about complying with state and federal employment laws, prepares employment contracts and employee manuals and represents plaintiffs and defendants in employment disputes before administrative agencies, including the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, the United States Equal Employment Opportunities Commission and the Connecticut Department of Labor.

Alice joined the firm in 1989 and became a principal in 1996. Prior to attending law school, Alice taught in the New Haven public schools for 15 years and was a founder and facilitator of High School in the Community, New Haven's first public school of choice. Alice is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association. Alice serves as Co-Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Parents' Foundation for Transitional Living. She was past President of the Connecticut Association of Alternative Schools and Programs.

Alice received her B.A. (1966) from Stanford University and her M.A. (1968) in Teaching from Yale University. Alice received her J.D. (1989) from Yale University School of Law.
