Carolyn is a member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group. Carolyn's litigation experience includes trial level and appellate work in state and federal courts and before federal, state and municipal agencies. Carolyn's litigation practice focuses on civil rights, employment disputes, commercial litigation, foreclosures, environmental law, land use claims, and health care licensing issues.

Carolyn joined the firm in 1990 and became a principal in 1993. After leaving the firm for several years, Carolyn rejoined the firm as a principal in 1998. Prior to joining the firm, Carolyn served as Deputy Corporation Counsel of the City of New Haven and as an Instructor at the University of Bridgeport School of Law, now known as Quinnipiac University School of Law.

Carolyn is as an Attorney Trial Referee for the Connecticut State Judicial Department, a member of the Legal Committee of the Connecticut Fund for the Environment, a Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, and a Bencher Member of Theodore Koskoff Inns of Court. Carolyn also served for more than a decade as a Hearing Examiner for the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.

Carolyn is a co-chair of the New Haven County Bar Association's Public Service Committee.  In the past she served on the Boards of  Congregation Beth El-Keser Israel and serves on its Board of Directors. In the past, she served on the Board of Directors of the New Haven Preservation Trust, Jewish Family Services of Greater New Haven and the Connecticut Association for Human Services.

Carolyn received her B.A. (1972) magna cum laude from Barnard College and her J.D. (1975) from Boston University. Carolyn is a member of the Connecticut and New York bars and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and the Second and Third Circuit Courts of Appeals.
