Steve is a member of the firm's Corporate, Trusts and Estates, Pension, Health Law, and Tax Practice Groups. Steve's practice focuses on the organization, creation and representation of professional entities, especially in the health care field. He counsels professional entities regarding their tax, business and regulatory compliance needs and helps with their expansions, contractions and break-ups. He also assists the principals of such entities in establishing and maintaining their retirement plans, estate planning and estate administration.

Steve is a founding principal of the firm. He has been a member and past Chairman of the Executive Committee, Taxation Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.

Steve is currently a member of the Anti-Defamation League's National Commission, a member and past President of Horeb Lodge, B'Nai Brith and a past member of the Board of the St. Raphael Foundation, Inc. Steve is past Chairman of the Board and past President of the Greater New Haven Jewish Federation. He was General Chairman of the Greater New Haven United Jewish Appeal/Federation Campaign and served as Chairman of the Connecticut Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League. Steve is Chairman of the Board of the Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven a Member of the Board of United Way.

Steve is a former instructor at Quinnipiac University in probate, estate planning and estate taxes and has been a speaker for a number of organizations, including the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Steve received his B.S. (1958) from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his LL.B. (1961) cum laude from Boston University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Boston University Law Review. He also received his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law (1963), where he was a teaching fellow.
